Good Food, Great Value We saw Mick's when we were out running errands and decided to stop for lunch and boy are we glad we did! I had the Frito Pie and my husband had a tamale plate. Both were excellent, large portions and inexpensive. Definitely a good breakfast/lunch place. Very friendly service. We'll be back when we need an authentic NM food fix. From Trip Advisor
“The servers and the service are everything I love about classic diners – smiling, helpful, always making sure you’re doing all right. Even when there’s a wait for a table, it goes fast, giving you a little time to decide on the order. Choose wisely because everything is huge – you won’t have much room to sample around the menu.” Andrea Lin for The Journal
I usually judge the chile by how hot it is and secondly, how flavorful it is and boy-oh- boy did they have some good chile. Although the red didn’t have too much heat, the flavor was impeccable, and the green, well, it was over the top and delicious. Just what I was anticipating. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach in this particular instance, and I was able to reheat the leftovers (The Hungry Man’s Breakfast) the next morning with two brand new eggs over the top. Equally as delicious as when it was made fresh. Mick’s Chile Fix is certainly a place that I’ll return. The service is fast and friendly and the prices are remarkable. If I lived closer, I would probably eat at Mick’s a few times a week. Yes, it’s that good. Posted by Will Barnes on iamnm.com
First Visit Ever. Impressive It seems to get more and more difficult to find truly good New Mexican food. Well, today (1/25/17), I found some! Another source, thank goodness. Not only that, the prices are fantastic. I love chili, so when something or someone claims to get my chili fix, it better be good! It was. From Trip Advisor
